Entered the service of the U. S. in April 1779,
& served 9 months under Capt. Levi Stockwell.
In Oct. 1780, entered the service again under
Capt. Sherwood, & at Fort Ann was taken
prisoner and marched to Canada, and there
remained a prisoner of war for 3 years
until exchanged.
